Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SOAPaDay — including the mobile app and this website — operated by myChelper (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, downloading or using the SOAPaDay app, or browsing this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SOAPaDay.

About SOAPaDay

SOAPaDay is a free Bible journaling app that helps you practice the SOAP method — Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer — in a calm, ad-free environment.

• Read Scripture in supported Bible translations through the YouVersion Platform.
• Write and save SOAP journal entries tied to passages you read.
• Follow Journeys — curated, multi-day reading plans with daily passages.
• Track reflection streaks and optional local daily reminders.
• Core journaling features are provided without charge and without advertising.

Who May Use SOAPaDay

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may use SOAPaDay only with permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

You must provide accurate information when signing in and keep your email account secure, since it is used to access your account.

Accounts and Sign-In

• SOAPaDay uses email-based sign-in. We send one-time verification codes to the email address you provide.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• Do not share verification codes or allow others to access your account without permission.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or abuse risk.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the SOAP journal entries, notes, and other content you create in SOAPaDay (“Your Content”).

To operate the service, you grant myChelper a limited license to host, store, back up, display, and process Your Content solely to provide and improve SOAPaDay for you — for example, syncing entries across devices and showing your reading history.

You represent that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or anyone else’s rights.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use SOAPaDay for unlawful, harmful, harassing, or abusive purposes.
• Attempt to access another user’s account or our systems without authorization.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service except as permitted by law.
• Upload malware or interfere with the app’s normal operation.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with myChelper.
• Use SOAPaDay in a way that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

Bible Text and Third-Party Services

Scripture text, search, and related features are provided through the YouVersion Platform and may be subject to YouVersion’s terms and licenses. Bible translations remain the property of their respective copyright holders.

You may use Bible content within SOAPaDay for personal, non-commercial reflection. Do not redistribute Scripture text from the app in ways that violate applicable translation licenses or third-party terms.

SOAPaDay may link to or open third-party services — for example, myChelper’s giving page for optional donations. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

Journeys and Reading Plans

Journeys are reading plans curated by myChelper to guide daily Scripture reflection. Plan content, schedules, and availability may change over time.

Journey progress, enrollments, and related data are stored with your account so you can continue where you left off. You may leave a Journey at any time through the app.

Optional Donations

SOAPaDay is free to use. If you choose to support the project through a donation link in the app, you will be directed to myChelper’s external giving page in your browser. Donations are voluntary, processed under that page’s terms, and are not required to use SOAPaDay.

Our Intellectual Property

SOAPaDay, the SOAPaDay name and logo, app design, and myChelper-provided Journey content and software are owned by myChelper or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, branding, or software except as needed to use SOAPaDay as intended.

Disclaimers

SOAPaDay is a personal spiritual journaling tool. It does not provide pastoral counseling, medical, legal, or other professional advice. Content in the app — including Journeys and Bible text — is for personal reflection and may not be complete or suited to every situation.

SOAPaDay is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that journal data will never be lost. Please maintain your own backups of anything especially important to you where the app allows export or copy.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, myChelper and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of SOAPaDay.

Our total liability for any claim relating to SOAPaDay or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for SOAPaDay in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50). Because core SOAPaDay features are free, this amount will often be zero.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using SOAPaDay at any time and may sign out or delete content through the app where those features are available.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. We will try to provide reasonable notice when practical.

Sections that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive termination.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or by email where appropriate.

Continued use of SOAPaDay after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
